2010 Sticks and Stones Rock Off Bouldering Competition

Looking to throw down and do some cranking? If so head on up to Sticks and Stones in Rexburg Idaho and enter the Bouldering Competition they are holding. Here are the details:

• Sticks and Stones 49 E. Main St. Rexburg, Idaho 83440
• March 20, 2010, climbing starts at 10:00 AM
• Registration is $10 in advance or $15 at the door
• There will be three skill level categories:
  • Beginner (V0-V2)
  • Intermediate (V3-V5)
  • Advanced (V6+)

Daniel Woods has done it again! News has just broke that Daniel Woods has just sent a long standing project in Boulder Canyon giving it a v16 rating! You can read a documentary about the send on Deadpoint Magazine.

When one thinks of the City of Rocks they usually think of beautiful trad lines, sick run-out slab, and superb sport routes.  Boulders get passed by with out a second thought.  As of lately a new craze of climbers have been penetrating City, the pebble wrestlers.  Craig Hurst, a Boise local, has been at the forefront of this new wave establishing to date only a few double digit problems with more yet to come!

On October 2-3 Castle Rocks and City of Rocks became home to some seriously hard boulder problems.  Boise local, Craig Hurst, sent the long standing Green Wall project, Green in the Face, v13.  The very next day Craig sent his project in the City of Rocks, Hookers, v10.  Before the weekend was out he set a possible second accent on the Heretic boulder, v9 and cruised many other City classics.
