City of Rocks is expanding!
News November 24th, 2009When one thinks of the City of Rocks they usually think of beautiful trad lines, sick run-out slab, and superb sport routes. Boulders get passed by with out a second thought. As of lately a new craze of climbers have been penetrating City, the pebble wrestlers. Craig Hurst, a Boise local, has been at the forefront of this new wave establishing to date only a few double digit problems with more yet to come!

It’s great to see some new blood on the rocks at the City! I for one have dismissed bouldering there as too gritty, etc, but as they say, don’t always believe what you think! Crank on.

Yeah, some of it is very gritty. But every once in a while a beautiful little gem pokes it’s head out and whispers……. Climb Me! Some lines take quite a bit of cleaning some are naturally already clean. Just like establishing routes just of a smaller caliber.
