South Park Area Closure Lifted

News1 Comment »

As of May 1, the BLM’s winter closure of the Stinking Springs area (that includes the South Park wall) officially ended. The temperatures have been ideal for climbing at SP lately, if you can avoid the rain.

There is a new route started on the far left of the wall, left of Who Killed Kenny. We did not get a chance to finish bolting it the other day so it is not fully equipped yet. BTW, Mike pulled a big piece of stone off of Kenny near the 3rd-4th bolt making the section much safer now but not any harder.
